Young jewelry designer creates collection for William & Son

Luxury emporium William & Son has launched a new jewellery collection created by Elizaveta Gnatchenko, a graduate of London-based Central Saint Martins College of Art and Jewelry Design, who was inspired by notions of architectural grandeur from The French Renaissance period.
“When working on the collection, Elizaveta ‘started from afar, looking at history, society and architecture to help create a story behind each piece,” William & Son, based in the elegant Mayfair district of central London, said in a statement.
The collection infuses precious stones and metals, with amethysts and blue topaz as the key components. Each piece is set on yellow or white gold with pave set diamonds.
Prices start from £3,250.
The project originated when William & Son approached Central Saint Martins to set up a competition for students to produce a collection of fine jewellery using precious metals and stones.
The Judges for the competition were: William Asprey (Chairman, William & Son), Lou Mcleod (CEO, William & Son), Gillian de Bono (Editor, How to Spend It), and Hannah Martin (Jewellery Designer and Course Tutor, Central Saint Martins).
William & Son are a luxury goods company based at 10 & 14 Mount Street, Mayfair.
Each store holds a collection of rare and beautiful pieces, some familiar yet increasingly hard to find.
