WJA showcasing “Seven Days of Silver”
The Women’s Jewelry Association’s (WJA) “Awards for Excellence Dinner” this year will hold a raffle fundraiser that will feature seven members of the Silver Promotion Service’s (SPS) Savor Silver Program, showcasing “Seven Days of Silver” as one of the prizes, which is essentially a piece of silver for every day of the week.
The contributing Savor Silver members are Bastian Inverun, Kelim Jewelry Design, Metalsmiths Sterling, Rotenier, Slane, Somers and Thistle & Bee. Each company provided a unique piece from their collections that demonstrates the versatility and diversity of silver design.
In addition to the “Seven Days of Silver” package, other raffle prizes include a stay at Laluna Grenada Hotel Resort and Spa, a stay in London with VIP tours and a ticket to Russell Simmons’ annual Art for Life East Hampton Garden Party Gala.
“We are looking forward to hosting the best fundraiser in WJA’s history and generating significant funds for WJA scholarships,” Krista Collins, raffle chair for WJA and eastern advertising representative at InStore and InDesign magazines, said.
This year’s awards will honor leaders in the industry including Varda Shine, Matthew G. Stuller Jr. and Helzberg Diamonds.
The WJA “Awards for Excellence Dinner” and Gala raffle will take place July 25 at Chelsea Piers in NYC. The raffle will benefit the WJA scholarship fund, which provides financial aid to eligible female students studying to pursue careers in the jewelry and watch industry.
