Indian Jeweller (IJ) magazine has started a new jewelry design competition where the jury includes a panel of judges as well as thousands of retailers across India.
Manufacturers may send in entries for the Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair IJ (MJGF) Jewellers’ Choice Design Awards 2011 between now and Sept. 30. Photographs of submitted designs will be uploaded onto a special voting website beginning Sept. 15.
Indian jewelry retailers may cast their ballots on the website from their computer, iPad or smartphone.
The three designs with the most votes will be deemed finalists and category winners will be announced Dec. 9 during UBM’s Mumbai Jewellery & Gem Fair, which is scheduled to take place Dec. 9 to 11 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre-NSE Exhibition Complex.
All winners and finalists will be featured in IJ “Best of the Best” Jeweller’s Choice Award supplement, and winning pieces also will grab a spot in the December/January 2012 issue of IJ.
The awards offer Indian manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their talent, creativity and products through a platform accessible from any part of the country.
