British-based jewellery designer Fei Liu has been awarded the “Designer of the Year” award by Chinese consumer magazine Harper’s Bazaar.
Having been chosen by Harper’s Bazaar in 2010 as one of the top five designers in China, Fei Liu faced stiff competition this year for the highly acclaimed award, which was presented at a star-studded event in Beijing.
“It means a great deal to be recognised for my work in my home country,” Fei Liu said.
“I feel incredibly lucky to be a designer at this exciting time which sees the growing importance of the Chinese market.”
Last year Fei Liu invited selected British jewelry design to showcase at his gallery in the Shin Kong Place department store in Beijing.
The initiative was launched in collaboration with British Jewellery & Giftware International (BJGI), the British Jewellers’ Association, and UK Trade & Investment.
Fei Liu jewellery is stocked all over the world, including in Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Liberty in London, and Shin Kong Place in Beijing.
