Event shows silver jewelry over the decades

The Silver Institute held its annual Silver jewelry Industry Dinner on Nov. 16 here, celebrating the organization’s 40th anniversary.
A fashion show was incorporated into the dinner’s cocktail hour, highlighting the transformation of silver jewelry throughout the past four decades. Savor Silver program participants provided the jewelry, the brands including DeLatori, GeoArt by Cynthia Gale, Gurhan, Metalsmiths Sterling, Thistle & Bee, Bastian Inverun and SunJewels, among others.

“We were exceptionally happy that so many friends and associates from the silver industry joined us to celebrate the Silver Institute’s 40th anniversary,” Mike DiRienzo, executive director of the Silver Institute, said. “Their reaction to the jewelry and fashion show organized by our SPS team was wonderful.”

The dinner was followed by “The Silver Market in 2011,” a presentation from Philip Klapwijk, global head of metal analytics at GFMS/Thompson Reuters.
