'Today' viewers say 'yes' to Neil Lane
New York—Today show viewers have spoken, and this year's "Today Throws A Wedding Couple" will exchange rings from celebrityjewelry designer Neil Lane.

Melissa McMillin and Jeremy Gebhardt, this year's "Today Throws A Wedding" couple, will wed in these platinum bands from Neil Lane. The women's ring is a diamond eternity style set on three sides with 116 round brilliant-cut diamonds.
On a taping last week, Today unveiled a selection of wedding band sets from four jewelry designers, one of which would be chosen by Today viewers for this year's couple, Melissa McMillin and Jeremy Gebhardt of Missouri.
More than 150,000 viewers cast their votes online and via text message, with the platinum bands from Neil Lane emerging as the viewer favorites, topping rings from Brilliant Earth, Diamonds for a Cure and Asprey.
On Wednesday morning, Today viewers watched as the winning rings were revealed, with McMillin opening up a ring box to find two platinum bands designed and signed by Neil Lane. As her fiancé, a senior airman in the U.S. Air Force, watched live from Afghanistan, where he has been deployed, McMillin tested out her new ring, a diamond eternity style set on three sides with 116 round brilliant-cut diamonds.
While McMillin told the Today show's Ann Curry, Matt Lauer and Natalie Morales that she liked all of the choices and would not be disappointed with any of them, she said that the Neil Lane ring was the one she was hoping for.
With the designer's high-profile brand exposure, it isn't too surprising that he proved to be a fan favorite, even topping this year's offerings of cause-related jewelry from Brilliant Earth and Diamonds for a Cure.
As mentioned by Curry, Lane's rings are worn by some of the most beautiful women in the world, including Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and Elizabeth Taylor, and his name has become a staple in the consumer press, where photographs of celebrities wearing his jewelry have a constant presence.
